She is a real little kid now. Far from toddlerhood, except when her sometime lack of listening skills jolts me back to the reality that we are not that far removed! Really though, she is a pretty good girl. We are working on it daily at least. No matter what her mood, I cannot imagine my life without her. She is like me in so many ways which makes me both proud and nervous. I have so many dreams for her that I just know she will fulfill. This little one is going places, I can just sense it!
A few details of what Kinley has been up to at 4:
* She loves to sing and makes up songs regularly.
* She has great skills of logic and has a knack for figuring out how things fit into the world.
* She grows sweeter and sweeter to her brother each day.
* She loves going to school.
* She has an AMAZING memory. It is actually pretty weird at times! :)
* She is part fish, like her dad.
* She is strikingly beautiful! (I'm allowed to brag--I'm her mama!).
* She is more shy than her brother, but allows his extrovert personality to encourage her socially.
* She is currently really into learning the sounds of all her letters/beginning reading and art. Her drawings of people are pretty cute!
* She loves to sleep (we're talking teenager status here!).
* She loves her cousins and talks about them regularly.
* She is oh-so-opinionated. I actually don't think I would have it any other way though--it shows me she really thinks about things.
Kinleybell, we love you so stinking much. I cannot wait to enjoy our next year with you--I'm so excited to continue to watch you grown and learn! What will you teach us next?
Per tradition, here are some pictures of my girl over the past four years:

For her 4th birthday, we had friends and family over for an ice cream party. It was an awesome day filled with sun, love, and laughter. Here are some pictures from the day!
She woke up to sprinkle waffles and presents from us. :)
Then it was time for the ice cream party! Somehow I didn't get any pics of the actual decorations--I seemed to be focused on the birthday girl for some reason!
Our friend Max--who, so sweetly, loves Mckinley! :)
Lastly, we had another family celebration that night with a trip to Red Robin (her favorite) where they sang to her. Then home for a birthday ice cream cake--which she had been asking for for about six months! :)
Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!!
PS
